First off, I'm not a "wedding " person, but this made even myself feel "vaclemt" like Shirley on coffee talk (SNL skit). This was one of the most memorable days I've experienced in all my travels (Except for world cup...). The couple got marrried in an onld gothic church on top of a hill overlooking the town, then the couple and wedding party paraded thtough the town, to an apartment balcony and, as the town tradition stands threw candy to the massive croud of visitor and residents that had gathered....
Then I took a siestsa...ah...yes and filled my stomach with food, drink and the best gelato i've ever had (so I had it 3 times)....
Dinner was a 7 course seafood feast, overlooking the ocean and bordering towns..The food was almost better than...well you get it. My words would not do it justice...but I did find a new love in Italy, and we had a last dance at the end of the night..I fell in love with Grappa, which is a distilled liquor made from the reminance of wine making (ie. the skin etc...) To describe it...it is the tequila of wine, packs a VERY mighty punch!
Overall Italy is gonna be hard to top, the most amazing views. I ate and drank to my hearts content. It tuned a non bread eating meat enthusiest into a bread eating meat enthusiest...
I love the food, I love the 30 degree sunny weather, I loved the drink...in short I loved Italy.
But on to Holland...
